Kenny Blumenschein
Kenny, who is half-Thai, was born in Bangkok and raised in Germany, where his career started and took off. After a degree in Marketing Communication and Copywriting, he joined the advertising industry and became a leading creative for a number of German agencies such as BBDOProximity and isobar. Eventually his Asian roots lured him back to Hong Kong where he joined the Ogilvy & Mather Group as Executive Creative Director. Under his lead, the Agency won the Agency of the Year title from Campaign Asia. After two successful years in Hong Kong, Kenny moved back to the German Ogilvy Office as Executive Creative Director Content.
His passion is to harness the power of creativity and technology to solve problems – not only business challenges faced by brands, but also the needs of consumers they serve. He believes great content finds its own media vehicle, moves culture and business. Kenny loves working at the crossroad of storytelling, design and technology for clients including Mercedes Benz, Mars inc., ASUS Computer, Lego, Coke and Allianz insurance.
His work has been honored at the Cannes Festival, CLIO, Cresta, LIAA, New York Festival and many more award shows around the world. He was also judge at the Cannes Lions Festival 2015.
