Raised in a tranquil German small town near Frankfurt, Joern started his career in 1996 as a junior copywriter at advertising agency Bates – only to find himself just three months later on the glamorous set of the first TV commercial he had ever written. From that day on, the thrill of advertising never left him and took him to work for a host of renowned agencies and international brands, until he joined Cheil Germany in 2011 to co-lead the creative on the Samsung Mobile account, helping the Korean brand reach the No. 1 spot of „Most loved brands“ in 2016.

A current member of D&AD and the German ADC, Joern has won almost every major award across a range of categories, including Gold, Silvers and Bronzes in Cannes, as well as accolades from D&AD, LIA, CLIO, ADC NY, The One Show, The Webbies, Lovies, and many more.
