Ailton Henriques is a Portuguese-Brazilian creative with over a decade of experience bringing ideas to life for brands such as Kia, Hyundai, Robert Capa, Porsche, Manscaped, Ford, Pedigree, Google, Whiskas, and many more.
Driven by a desire to escape the Brazilian heat and explore new creative landscapes, his career has taken him through Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Vancouver, Düsseldorf, and Berlin. Along the way, he’s worked with agencies including Pereira O’Dell, McCann Canada, TBWA, BBDO Germany, and Innocean Berlin. Ailton’s work has been recognized at major international festivals such as D&AD, Cannes Lions, the New York Festivals, Clio, OneShow, Effie, and ADC Global.
Early in his career, he was selected for the Creative LIAisons program and the Young Lions Academy at Cannes Lions. He has also served as a juror for the NY Festivals, Future Lions, Webby Awards, MADStars, and The Lovie Awards.
In addition to his advertising work, Ailton has a strong foundation in design. He is one of the founders of Insert Brazil—one of Brazil’s most prominent design events.
Currently he is based in Berlin and works as Associate Creative Director at AKQA.
