Lim Chong Jin is a legendary figure in Singaporean design and industrial education, and a recognised strategic consultant and visionary. Having spent 12 years in roles as creative director and head of leading international agencies (DNC Worldwide Partners, Lintas, Hakuhodo, Dailey, Adcrobats), he has devoted three decades to nurturing a new generation of global creative stars.
As head of the Temasek Polytechnic Design School (TP Design School), Lim Chong Jin transformed it into a world-class talent incubator: for seven consecutive years (2017–2023), the school won the title of ‘Design Institution of the Year’ at the Crowbar Awards — an award whose very name was coined by Lim Chong Jin himself. What’s more, TP became the only educational institution to have produced five winners of Singapore’s highest design honour – the President’s Design Award in the ‘Designer of the Year’ category!
In 2023, Lim Chong Jin returned to the agency business as director of Singapore’s largest independent holding company — The Adplanet Group, which brings together eight specialist agencies with a combined total of over 400 international awards (including Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, Clio and NY Festivals). Today, he works as a design educator and consultant, a sought-after speaker, an expert and a jury member for leading international competitions (Worldwide Partners, ANBD, CCA, SPH Ink Award).
