Digital Director at Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony / Founder and Creative Director at The Nine Shanghai

Jody was born in 1973 in Hunan Province, China. He graduated from Hunan University of Technology Business and the Central Academy of Arts & Design, and New York Film Academy. In 2022, he was invited by film master Zhang Yimouto serve as digital director and visual artist for the Opening Ceremony of the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics. He worked as a creative director at different 4A advertising agency for 18 years, before founding his own creative agency The Nine Shanghai.

He was named TOP 12 Aisa’s Most Awarded Creative Leaders in Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings in 2021, and is the recipient of over 500 creative awards and recognitions, including China’s very first Gold Lions in Design, in addition to Silver Lions in Design and Bronze Lions in FIlm at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, 9 Cubes and 16 Merit Awards at New York ADC, 6 Graphite and Wood Pencils at D&AD, Grand Prix at Green Awards, 8 Silver and Bronze at Clio Award Statues, 16 Gold Statues of London International Awards, 5 Silver and Bronze Pencils at One Show, 6 Red Dot Design Awards, 32 Trophies at AdFest Asia-Pacific of which 2 are Grand Prixs.

He has been invited to participate in many different design competitions as a judge, such as D&AD, New York ADC, Clio, and One Show Asia. He was named one of the top designers by Forbes China. His works have been featured in NY MoMA, TIME, Wired, Huffington Post, CANAL+, and many other media outlets.
