Sr Director, Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Tech NA, Guatemala - United States

His career began as Freelance Art Director in 2004, but then he had the opportunity to work with Costa Rica’s local brands like Imperial Beer, Pilsen Beer, Taco Bell, Banco de Costa Rica and regional accounts like Durex and Coca Cola in Garnier BBDO and Ogilvy Costa Rica. 

His interest in digital was always in my head, so in 2009 he started a new position as a Digital Strategy Planner at Garnier BBDO.

He had his first Creative Interactive Direction in 2011, four years after he joined Garnier BBDO. At that moment, Social Media was like a must, every brand wanted to be in the conversation but they changed the rules: they built our first tech department and thanks of that, their delivery was better: always connecting people through apps, websites and social channels. They won a Golden EFFIE, category Best Use of Media. 

From 2013 to 2017 his experience went to Central America thanks to BBDO Honduras, as Interactive Director. It was a different role, because it wasn’t just about the creative part.

In 2018, he came back to Costa Rica to try a position as a client but just a few months after that his first contact with Publicis Groupe occurred as Saatchi&Saatchi’s Interactive Director.

One month before COVID, he moved to Guatemala. Publicis Groupe offered to start a new agency in the region: Digitas. He was a Managing Director there. “In the middle of the lockdown, we made it”. He left Digitas on Aug ‘22, with about 70 people in Central America.

Today he's working at Wunderman Thompson Commerce & Tech North America as Director, Performance Media.
